The Husband had to work overtime Sunday and Monday, and it turns out that his overtime pay for those two days pretty much exactly pays for our date today, so that worked out well. Thank you to salanth for the movie tickets, which precipitated this much needed time out.

Today Pip was playing with her current favorite toy, a ball. She threw the ball but it bounced off a table leg and came back to just next to her feet. But she didn't see it come back and was looking where it ought to have rolled if it hadn't hit the leg. We had an amazing date night on Thursday night. We went to the best beer place in Vancouver and had a marvelous time. We started off in the bar area and the bartender poured us samples, plus we got two small glasses. Then during dinner we each got a flight of four different beers. I know that The Husband loves my cooking, because apparently he tells everyone that he does, especially when I'm absent. However, he is not really that effusive during our private meal times. The Husband is going to be "the Crowd/Synagoga" at the Good Friday liturgy of our parish, which I am perhaps inappropriately excited about.
